Reefer Technician at US Foods

Join US Foods as a Reefer Technician focused on performing essential repairs and maintenance on our diesel refrigeration systems. Your expertise is vital for maintaining fleet functionality.

In this position at US Foods, you'll be responsible for managing repairs on THERMO KING and CARRIER refrigeration units with an emphasis on quality and safety. With a minimum of three years' experience, you'll troubleshoot and rebuild systems while documenting all actions in our fleet maintenance software. Collaborate with a dedicated team to support fleet operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment

• Conduct preventative maintenance per manufacturer standards

• Lead and train other mechanics as needed

• Manage road calls and coordinate with vendors

• Ensure safety compliance in the work environment

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience required

• Must hold EPA 608 and EPA 609 certifications

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to read technical manuals

• Own personal hand tools necessary for the role
