Position: Heavy Duty Mechanic for Tunneling Operations
Become a key player in tunneling operations as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with Ontario Transit Group. This role focuses on the mechanical works needed for successful Sequential Excavation Method projects.

As part of the Ontario Line project team, the Heavy Duty Mechanic will contribute significantly to mechanical system installation and maintenance. Candidates should have 7-10 years of construction experience, specifically in tunneling or underground construction. The position requires effective collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee mechanical equipment in SEM tunneling operations

• Coordinate with other trades and managers for project integration

• Ensure quality control through thorough inspections

• Implement safety best practices on site

• Keep detailed records of mechanical work and updates

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7-10 years in mechanical construction work

• Supervisory experience is highly valued

• Strong ability to read mechanical specifications
