Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Repair Technician to join our CSN Forest Hill Auto body team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their optimal condition following collision repairs. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle meets our high standards for quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine vehicles for collision damage, including a detailed assessment of body parts and functionality of electrical components.
- Perform structural and full body repairs, including the replacement of damaged parts and components.
- Straighten bent frames and restore vehicles to their original specifications using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Utilize welding techniques including MIG and compression spot welding as necessary.
- Dismantle and reassemble vehicles to identify and repair hidden damages.
- Inspect repaired vehicles for quality assurance and conduct test drives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Stay updated on industry standards and repair techniques.
- 5+ years of experience in auto body repair.
- Preferred qualifications include a 310B Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer license or enrollment in a recognized apprenticeship program.
- Relevant certifications such as I-Car and OEM certifications are an advantage.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, sitting, and manual dexterity.
- Valid driver’s license and must have personal tools and safety equipment.
- Current training in workplace safety and compliance standards (e.g., WHMIS, AODA).
