Be part of Toronto's future by becoming a licensed Bricklayer with the Toronto Transit Commission. This full-time day shift role focuses on masonry and construction work, with weekends off.
TTC is seeking a skilled Bricklayer with a valid Brick & Stone Mason Certificate (401-A). You'll engage in preparing and laying bricks, stone, and masonry materials to construct or repair walls and structures. This role emphasizes respect and accommodation for all passengers and employees, ensuring inclusivity in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and lay brick, stone, and concrete
• Repair boilers and furnaces with fire brick
• Ensure passenger and employee needs are met
• Construct walls and masonry foundations
• Apply plaster as needed for repairs
Requirements:
• Valid Brick & Stone Mason Certificate (401-A)
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Valid Province of Ontario class “G” driver’s license
• Set of tools per established specifications
