Advance your masonry career as a Bricklayer with the Toronto Transit Commission. This full-time position offers day shifts while focusing on bricklaying and ensuring inclusive service.
TTC is hiring a licensed Bricklayer (401-A) to join its Plant Maintenance team. You will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, as well as laying bricks and stone materials for masonry foundations. The position requires respect for all passengers and adherence to human rights and accessibility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lay masonry and concrete block for repairs
• Construct and repair walls and chimneys
• Handle fire brick for boilers and furnaces
• Ensure proper accommodation for all employees
• Apply plaster accurately for repairs
Requirements:
• Possess a valid Brick & Stone Mason Certificate (401-A)
• Completed Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Valid class “G” driver’s license from Ontario
• Familiarity with the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Set of tools as per requirements
