Join Toronto Hydro as a Certified Power Cable Apprentice, where you will support underground electrical construction and maintenance. This role requires skills in installing and troubleshooting power distribution systems, while adhering to safety protocols. You will collaborate closely with a Certified Power Cable Person and undergo training across various work centers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate safe work practices daily
• Troubleshoot and maintain underground distribution systems
• Communicate effectively with customers and staff
• Install transformers and manage control wiring
• Apply discretion in solving safety-related issues
Requirements:
• Electrical Techniques Certificate or 309A Electrician certification
• Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License
• Physical ability for outdoor work in all weather
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations
• Proficiency in PC applications
