Telecommunications Field Technician

Position: Telecommunications Field Technician Role
Step into the vital role of a Field Technician at Ericsson Canada Inc. located in Toronto. This position requires on-site management and support to ensure service level agreements are met.

As a Telecommunications Field Technician, you'll be responsible for the coordination and execution of service activities in Operations and Engineering. Your focus will be on network performance, troubleshooting, and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards. Your actions will directly impact the customer service experience through effective problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and solve corrective network issues swiftly

• Plan and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment

• Carry out acceptance tests on new installations

• Document site status and complete required reports

• Perform regular audits of required parts inventory

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Electronics or a related field

• Over two years of experience in telecom

• EHS/OHS certification required

• Understanding of SONET, Optical Fibre, and TCP/IP

• Experience with working at heights and first aid
