Become an Instrument Repair Technician at TFS in Toronto, where you will play a vital role in maintaining musical instruments for educational purposes. This casual position focuses on repair and upkeep of band, string, and percussion instruments.
Reporting bi-monthly, you will work alongside the Senior School Music Teacher to ensure instruments function optimally for students and staff. This job suits independent technicians or advanced students in instrument repair studies. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of music education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and repair instruments for safe use
• Conduct minor repairs and structural adjustments
• Solder and braze components as specified
• Keep accurate records of all repairs made
• Aid in the upkeep of percussion and string instruments
Requirements:
• Strong background in instrument repair and maintenance
• Knowledge of instrument mechanics and construction
• Ability to work autonomously on repairs
