Role Description  This full-time, on-site Service Technician role is based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Service Technician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of metalworking and woodworking machines, including hydraulic press brakes, laser cutters, shears, bandsaws, CNC routers, edge banders, and related equipment. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting equipment failures, conducting routine inspections, and completing preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The role also involves visiting client sites, providing field service support, documenting service activities, and communicating clearly with customers and internal teams about equipment status, required repairs, and recommended improvements. The Service Technician will follow safety standards and company procedures while contributing to a responsive, customer-focused service experience.
Qualifications

Strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for industrial machinery and equipment.

Proficient Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.

Read, write electrical schemes

Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, professional language.

Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.

Knowledge of metalworking and woodworking machinery (e.g., press brakes, laser cutters, CNC routers) is an asset.

Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams; basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Toronto Area for on-site service calls.

Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
