We are seeking a motivated Junior Electrician to join our dynamic team in Scarborough.

Position Overview  The Junior Electrician will assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems within our food processing and packaging facility. The ideal candidate should be safety-conscious, eager to learn, and have a passion for electrical systems in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities   Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local and national codes.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and other equipment used in food processing and packaging.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations of all electrical systems.
Support senior electricians in projects and troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate logs and records of repairs and installations.
Follow safety protocols and food safety standards in all work activities.
Qualifications   Valid 309A Certification is a must.
1-2 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (food processing experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, including reading blueprints and schematics.
Familiarity with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
