Fire Alarm Technician at TCDSB

TCDSB is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician for a one-year temporary position in their Operations & Maintenance department. With 3 to 5 years of practical experience, you’ll work independently while ensuring compliance with fire safety codes and regulations. This is a crucial role that contributes to the safety of nearly 200 schools across Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor

• Conduct inspections on fire and security alarm systems

• Maintain compliance with applicable national codes

• Keep accurate records of maintenance and inspections

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant practical experience

• Must be a registered Fire Alarm Technician with CFAA

• Valid Ontario Driver's “G” license required

• Familiarity with fire protection and alarm systems

• Ability to work independently without supervision
