Planet Fitness - Facilities Maintenance Technician

Kitchener, ON 700 Strasburg Rd, Kitchener, ON N2E 2M2, Canada

Base salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year, plus bonus potential. Eligible for a company vehicle and Black Card Membership.

• Maintain all building assets and systems to ensure safety and code compliance.
• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on fitness equipment, electrical components, heating & cooling, audio & video systems, basic plumbing, HVAC, and other facility aspects using the CMMS platform.
• Apply service notes and update status on work orders for visibility across departments.
• Communicate with key stakeholders and business partners to keep them informed of progress and outstanding issues.
• Review and prioritize club work orders daily and manage maintenance completion deadlines.
• Order parts and materials as needed for equipment and facility repair and maintenance.
• Maintain lighting systems, clean fixtures, and replace bulbs and lamps.
• Oversee and inspect outside contractors when necessary.
• Maintain club grounds in compliance with agreements.
• Follow health and safety best practices and obey all traffic laws while driving company vehicles.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned based on club needs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Trade school training in carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or automotive preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain a passport.
• Experience serving the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area with client-facing responsibilities.
