Apply thermite welding expertise with Universal Rail Solutions Inc. across Ontario. Support railway construction, maintenance, and infrastructure renewal in a full-time unionized role.
As a Thermite Welder, you will perform rail joint welding and related activities for construction, maintenance, and repair projects. The work emphasizes approved procedures, railway standards, safety compliance, and quality workmanship. You will support field projects at multiple locations across Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform thermite welding of rail joints
- Prepare rail ends, molds, and welding materials
- Inspect, grind, and finish completed welds
- Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and measuring equipment
- Maintain welding documentation, tools, and equipment
- Certified or qualified Thermite Welder
- Railway-recognized certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of railway thermite welding experience preferred
- Knowledge of rail welding procedures, tolerances, and quality standards
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence or ability to obtain
