Apply mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC expertise as a Maintenance Specialist supporting Tricon Living properties onsite across Toronto. Flexibility across shifts includes rotating on-call coverage.
This Maintenance Specialist supports safe, efficient, reliable operation across Tricon’s residential and mixed-use portfolio. The position combines troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service-focused communication. You will assist Maintenance Managers, property teams, contractors, licensed trades, residents, and commercial tenants with maintenance needs and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Diagnose deficiencies and complete appropriate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs
- Inspect properties, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions
- Respond to routine, urgent, and emergency maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate service, inspection, and repair records
- Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving skills
- Service-focused approach with residents, tenants, and stakeholders
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Relevant skilled trade certification or licence preferred
- Ability to lift tools, supplies, and materials up to 50 pounds regularly
