Position: Full Charge Bookkeeper for a Residential Construction Company

Full Charge Bookkeeper for a Construction Company

A General Contracting firm located in Torrance, CA specializing in building high-end custom homes is looking for a qualified Full Charge Bookkeeper.

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the construction industry is required.

Job Duties
  • Prepare customer invoicing
  • Data entry into company specific spreadsheets
  • Download/Input bank account transactions
  • Download/Input credit card transactions
  • Reconcile monthly bank and credit card activity
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Answer telephone/handle calls as needed
  • Reconcile General & Payroll Accounts & Credit Card Accounts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
It is required that you have extensive knowledge and expertise of
  • Quick Books
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
Position Qualifications Applicant must have/be
  • Minimum of 4 years bookkeeping experience
  • Excellent personal credit
  • Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles and concepts
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Have excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent personal and professional references
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Clear knowledge of Financial Reporting, including Balance Sheets and Income Statements
  • Experience working with payroll services including ADP, Paychex, Intuit
  • Clear knowledge of Financial & Payroll including Tax Liability Payments & Reporting
Knowledge of the following is a plus
  • Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation audits
  • Management and maintenance of computers, phones, and peripherals
  • Knowledge of T-Sheets employee tracking software
Hourly Rate

$35 to $50 an hour depending on experience
