Cost Accountant

A growing company is seeking a Cost Accountant to support financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for cost analysis, inventory valuation, COGS reconciliation, and supporting month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze production, labor, and overhead variances

Monitor inventory (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and reconcile COGS

Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis

Partner with operations to improve cost controls and efficiencies

Support audits and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2+ years of cost or manufacturing accounting experience

Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency

CPA or MBA a plus
