Summary

Cosmetics manufacturing company located in Carson is seeking a Controller to manage the day to day accounting functions of the organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a company that is expanding at a fast pace. We need an organized, self‑motivated person with strong communication skills and a great attitude, who desires to work with a strong management team.

Control of all accounting functions including general accounting, payroll reporting, banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets. Prepare and review budgets, financial planning, financial systems, and various other financial operating reports. Manage preparation of all year‑end financial statements, tax lead schedules and supporting documentation for outside CPA firm to prepare annual income tax returns.

Supervise 1 Sr Staff Accountant and 1 Accounts Payable Clerk and interact closely with other departments.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Manufacturing background preferred but not essential
• Strong GAAP accounting knowledge
• Quickbooks and ERP (manufacturing) systems experience desired but not essential
• Must be very detail oriented, with good follow through skills, and the ability to work independently
• Must be dependable and able to work in a fast pace working environment under pressure
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
