Senior Accountant

A Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy of financial records, oversees month‑end closes, and maintains compliance with GAAP. They prepare complex reconciliations, analyse financial data for management, and mentor junior staff.

Monday‑Friday, 9AM – 6PM, on site.

• Financial Reporting:
  Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Month‑End Close:
  Lead the month‑end/year‑end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Compliance & Audit:
  Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and support internal/external audits.
• General Ledger:
  Maintain, analyze, and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Budgeting & Analysis:
  Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Mentorship:
  Supervise and train junior accountants or bookkeepers.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience:
  
  3‑5 years of experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Certification: CPA licence is often required or preferred.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, SAP, Yardi).
• Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.

• Analytical:
  Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Attention to Detail:
  High accuracy in financial data entry and review.
• Communication:
  Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Time Management:
  Ability to meet strict deadlines for closing cycles.
