• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while promoting operational efficiency and professional development.
• Reconcile complex financial accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with headquarters in Japan and executive leadership to provide financial analysis and business recommendations.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• CPA license preferred or equivalent public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software such as Quick Books, SAP, or Oracle.
• Professional‑level English and business‑level Japanese communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
