Process Scheduler PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:

PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating, through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are a growing organization seeking a talented Process Scheduler to join our team as a pivotal member here at PBF Energy. This role is located at Torrance Refining Company in Torrance, CA.

This position is responsible for scheduling and timekeeping functions of hourly, represented personnel within the Process, Health Safety Environmental and Lab Departments.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administers weekly schedules for all represented Process, Health Safety Environmental and Lab personnel in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
    • Proactively anticipate additional requests from multiple stakeholders to weekly schedule (e.g., training, various absence types, overtime, etc.)
    • Resolves issues for represented employees regarding scheduling processes and procedures
    • Works closely with Supervisors to ensure schedules and timesheets are correct in advance of payroll processing
    • Validate supporting documentation for all absences and required training
    • Validate supporting documentation and required Supervisor approvals for all overtime give aways and shift trades
    • Monitor approvals and provide payroll deadlines reminders
    • Stewards Vacation Scheduling Database
      • Annually post vacation picks
      • Processes vacation change requests and ensure proper documentation is obtained in accordance with vacation selection rules
  • Produces dynamic labor reports utilized by management and various cross functional departments
  • Compiles and distributes Equalization Report for daily overtime availability (in accordance with the CBA)
    • Review and process availability
    • Review and update employee’s status (Not Qualified, Vacation, Sick, Temp Super, Off, etc)
  • Analyzes labor hour requests from multiple functional areas, and provides precise reports as requested
  • Assembles and provides required documentation for grievances filed by the Local Union as needed
  • Principal contact for Department new hire training on practices pertaining to timesheets, pay, scheduling, vacation, overtime, etc.
  • Distributes various communications to personnel to ensure clarification of scheduling and timekeeping procedures
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of prior scheduling/timekeeping experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Workforce Software preferred

The hourly range for this position is $23.08 - $37.54. The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job‑related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate’s compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance‑based increases.
