This position provides a variety of functions for the Missile Systems Division General Manager, Director of Sales/Marketing, Sales Department, Program Management and Building 20 ranging from secretarial duties to administrative functions.
Nature and Scope:
The incumbent performs a broad range of tasks falling generally into four categories: (1) secretarial obligations for the Division General Manager, (2) Sales Assistant duties for the Director of Sales/Marketing and the Sales Department, (3) implementation of Program Management and Sales Department work relative to ISSCO computer programs, and (4) liaison for Building 20 functions.
Essential job functions:
Under the direction of the Manager of Customer Support or Manager of Contract Administration, the Associate Sales Administrator directs and monitors contractual activities to ensure compliance with Divisional contractual obligations between Moog and its customers, including Moog subsidiary locations. The incumbent will also coordinate certain department office management and correspondence responsibilities.

Customer account sales value less than $5,000,000 annually.
Nature and Scope of Position:
The Associate Sales Administrator reports to the Manager of Customer Support or Manager of Contract Administration, along with other Contract Administration, Sales Administration, Data Administration, or Repair Administration positions. In some cases, the Associate Sales Administrator may receive program direction from Senior Contract Administrators or Program Managers.
The primary focus of the incumbent is to ensure the integrity of Moog's contractual commitments. The Associate Sales Administrator monitors all activities related to meeting the company's performance objectives on assigned mature program contracts, and interacts with Moog and customer personnel to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements to protect the company's legal position.
This position requires extensive knowledge of export regulations for both military and commercial products as well as knowledge of all aspects of the sales administrative activity of the Company. Indigenous to this requirement is a basic understanding of product and administrative terminology, sales policy, pricing policy and procedure, manufacturing and engineering policy and practice, ordering and scheduling requirements, as well as shipping and invoicing procedures.
The position requires that the incumbent exercise a good deal of judgment in the exercise of duties to insure that competing objectives are properly prioritized.
Beginning with the receipt of a Request for Quote or Request for Proposal, the Associate Sales Administrator is responsible for reviewing customer terms and conditions to ensure compliance capabilities. Coordinating with other functional departments is required in order to provide Quotation or Proposal to the customer. Reviewing the contract after receipt of an order, entry of the requirement into the Moog production master schedule, and follow-up to keep the customer and Moog internal departments apprised of the status of the order are all requirements of this position.
The incumbent must possess the personal qualities and political skills required to handle the pressures from demanding customers, both internal and external. The incumbent is frequently required to seek out, motivate and deal with individuals, both inside and outside the company to insure the delivery of accurate and timely information. Communications skills must be well developed to impart to customers and other contacts a sense of security in, and accuracy of, disseminated information.
Administrative Assistant responsibilities could include the distribution of daily internal and external correspondence, sales order file maintenance, and proposal preparation requirements in support of our Pricing Department. Duties could also include coordinating responses to e-mails received from Moog's web page as well as making sure customer calls are answered responsively within the department. It is estimated that these activities will require from 10% to 50% of the weekly workload.
This position requires a significant amount of telephone, written and direct personal contact with customers to insure a smooth and empathetic relationship. Educational requirements will normally include an AAS, preferably in business, and at least three years of working experience in a related environment, or alternatively, graduation from high school and 9 years related experience.
