Business Co-op/Intern – Summer 2027
This job description reflects potential openings for the Summer 2027 Co-op/Internship Session (May-August). This is a general job description and represents multiple openings in various departments. Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest.

The descriptions below reflect potential environments and duties within our various Business Co-op/Intern positions that we offer. Work environments and projects may include but are not limited to:
- Business Analysis, Planning, & Strategy
- Support cost planning, financial analysis, and business case development for current and future initiatives
- Build and maintain analytical tools, databases, and financial simulations using Microsoft Excel and Access
- Conduct market sizing, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support long-range planning and profitability
- Analyze emerging consumer, industry, and societal trends to assess future business and market impacts
- Assist with long-range market, model volume, and business performance forecasting
- Supply Chain Management
- Prepare and analyze Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and supplier cost data for accuracy and competitiveness
- Analyzing quotes for accuracy
- Cost comparisons to standards and targets
- Creating cost management databases and analysis tools using Microsoft Excel and Access
- Finance & Accounting
- Perform cost comparisons against standards and targets
- Support general ledger activities, including balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation
- Assist with financial statement compilation and reporting
- Human Resources & Talent Operations
- Support daily Associate Relations activities and provide Human Resources customer service support
- Assist with benefits administration, Human Resources systems inquiries, and Leave of Absence (LOA) audits
- Participate in information-sharing sessions related to company programs and initiatives
- Support competency management, mentoring programs, and associate development resources
- Research and document best practices related to performance management and talent development
- Assist with Total Rewards research, payroll best practices, and development of operational standards
- Digital Services, Customer Experience, & Marketing Support
- Support Digital Services business initiatives with a focus on connected and emerging technologies
- Build business cases for new digital opportunities, including financial modeling and market research
- Assist Customer Experience (CX) teams with initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Support coordination, enhancement, and scaling of digital systems and Customer Experience (CX) products
- Help ensure consistent, high-quality experiences across customers, associates, and dealer touchpoints
- Consumer Insights & Market Planning
- Support the definition of target customer personas, usage scenarios, product requirements, and unique selling propositions (USPs)
- Assist with future market planning by monitoring macro-level developments and industry trends
- Translate customer and market insights into actionable recommendations for product and business teams
Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- General Business Coursework
- Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher (You will be required to provide your current transcript)
- Class status
- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above - Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program studying Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field
- Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis)
- Ability to secure own transportation to and from work each day
* Public transportation and ride share services are limited in some of our locations. Co-ops are responsible for securing their own transportation to and from work each day and must have a reliable plan for transportation in order to be eligible for a position. Regular in-person attendance is required, and transportation issues will not be excused.
