THE OPPORTUNITYRobinson Helicopter Company is hiring a Corporate Trainer to build and manage training programs across our manufacturing and corporate operations. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this role partners with Quality, Environmental Health and Safety, Operations, Engineering, and department leaders to maintain an effective training system that supports employee proficiency, FAA compliance, and audit readiness. The position owns the company wide training program and provides functional direction to subject matter experts and designated on-the-job trainers.
WhatYou Will Do
- Develop and maintain the company wide training strategy, annual training plan, curricula, and supporting budget.
- Create instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, and structured on-the-job training from regulations, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and technical source material.
- Coordinate technical and job-qualification training with managers and subject matter experts, who approve technical content before release.
- Administer the learning management system, including the course catalog, role-based training matrices, curriculum assignments, user access, completion records, and recurrency tracking.
- Maintain auditable training and qualification records and produce competency evidence for FAA and other internal or external audits.
- Develop qualification tests and competency assessments that confirm demonstrated proficiency, including training that supports inspection stamp authority and authorized personnel designations.
- Establish and maintain a train-the-trainer program for production and quality subject matter experts who deliver structured on-the-job training.
- Partner with Environmental Health and Safety on Cal/OSHA, environmental, human factors, job-safety, and corrective training requirements.
- Design and deliver new-hire onboarding, production orientation, job aids, visual work instructions, and supervisory development programs.
- Report completion, overdue training, competency, and effectiveness metrics to leadership and the Safety Review Board; manage training vendors and support education and technical-pipeline partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, organizational development, aviation management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant industry training experience.
- At least five years of corporate or workforce training experience, including curriculum design and instructor-led delivery.
- Experience designing and delivering training for both production-floor and management audiences.
- Experience administering a learning management system and maintaining records that can withstand regulatory or quality audits.
- Working knowledge of training, competency, and recordkeeping requirements in an FAA-regulated manufacturing environment, including the safety-promotion component of a Safety Management System.
- Demonstrated ability to develop competency-based assessments and measure whether training improved performance.
- Strong presentation, writing, project-management, analytical, and cross-functional coordination skills, with the ability to translate technical and regulatory material into clear instruction.
- Professional certification such as CPTD, ATD Master Trainer, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or a comparable training or human resources credential.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools, Cal/OSHA training requirements, corrective and preventive actions, or technical training in aerospace manufacturing.
