Customer Service & Claims Agent (Automotive)

Location:

On-site - Irvine, CA

Schedule:

Monday-Friday + rotating Saturday (1x every 2 months)

Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service & Claims Agent with strong automotive knowledge to support customers and dealer partners with vehicle service contract (VSC) claims, account inquiries, and issue resolution. This role requires a balance of customer service excellence, technical automotive understanding, and efficient claims processing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Handle 35+ inbound calls daily, assisting customers and dealers with claims, coverage questions, and account inquiries

+ Review and process vehicle service contract (VSC) claims, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance

+ Investigate and resolve complex, high-value claims involving repairs and maintenance

+ Communicate with dealerships, repair facilities, and inspection companies to determine coverage eligibility

+ Accurately document interactions and update systems in real time

+ Process correspondence and contract cancellations in a timely manner

+ Interpret coverage, exclusions, policies, and procedures for customers and partners

+ Collaborate cross-functionally and support rotating team assignments

Required Qualifications

+ 2-5+ years of customer service, claims processing, or call center experience

+ Strong data entry, multitasking, and computer navigation skills

+ Ability to handle high call volume with professionalism and efficiency

+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail

+ Ability to analyze information and make sound decisions

+ Comfortable working across multiple systems and applications

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience in automotive, dealership, or vehicle service contract environments

+ Knowledge of automotive repairs, diagnostics, and warranty claims

+ ASE Certification or Automotive Technology background (highly preferred)

+ Experience working with dealers, repair facilities, or claims adjudication

+ Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel) and internal systems (CRM/mainframe)

+ Prior leadership or mentoring experience is a plus

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.67 - $29.67/hr.
