Receptionist/ Business Office Clerk - Per diem / As needed
Receptionist/PBX Operator maintains hospital communication systems, cordially greets and receives hospital guests, ascertains guest needs and appropriately directs visitors and callers. The position also acts as a clerk within the Business Office.

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience:
Experience in reception or PBX operation preferred.
- Accurate typing skills required
- Effective telephone techniques and listening skills required
- Superior telephone skills and ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform concentrated and/or complex mental activity with frequent involvement in complex and/or highly technical situations
- Ability to work successfully under highly stressful conditions
- Ability to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles
- Ability to comprehend and perform oral and written instructions and procedures
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in an appropriate fashion
- Capability to adapt to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis
- Effective comprehensive reading skills, strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license to drive hospital vehicles or on hospital business
