• Salary Range $80-90K (depending on experience)

• Responsible for designing pediatric wheelchair soft goods and stylized hard good products that balance innovation, function, and aesthetic appeal.
• Collaborates with engineering, product management & suppliers to develop products that meet target cost & brand standards
• Prepares prototypes & leads fit checks with engineering & product management
• Create original, on-brand concepts with sketches or other 3D visualization tools
• Translate trend research, consumer insights, and brand DNA into compelling product designs and visual narratives
• Maintain organized design libraries, inspiration boards, and presentation materials
• Contribute to color, material, and finish (CMF) research and innovation
• Participate in design reviews and present work to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with external suppliers to make manufacturable products
• Document and release final design documentation including material specifications, 2D manufacturing drawings, and standards.
• Own ISO biocompatibility compliance for all softgoods
• Ability to maintain timelines and meet due dates
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• 2-3+ years’ experience in product development, design, and trend research including softgoods (Auto, Medical Class 1, or similar)
• 1-2+ years of vendor management (preferably suppliers located in Asia)
• High level working knowledge of 2D CAD Software (Draftsight / AutoCAD)
• Design for manufacturability experience
• Solid Works (preferred)
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T (preferred)
• Utilizing MRP/ERP system to build BOM’s and costing (nice to have)
• Prototype sewing experience of softgoods (nice to have, not necessary)
• High computer IQ with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Minimal travel may be required up to 10% to sister companies, trade shows, or suppliers
• Excellent clear written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, graphic design, or a related design field.
