We are looking for those who have experience working with kids as a tutor, coach, teacher, youth leader, or other role in which you demonstrated a passion for investing in students' future.

• Los Angeles County Library Location(s):
  Lomita, CA 90717

• "High Dosage Tutor" Tues-Wed, 2:30 PM – 7:15 PM and Thurs, 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM. ELA/Math, grades 1st-6th. Appointment based 1v1, 3v1.
• "Homework Helper" Tues‑Wed, 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM & Thurs‑Fri, 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM. All subjects, grades 1st‑12th. Walk ins.

• $22 per hour standard
• $23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
• $24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor.

• Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology.
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Provide homework help to 1st-12 students.

• Can complete the fingerprinting process within 48 hours of an offer.
• Must meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements.
• Provide 3 professional references.
• Minimum of 60 units of college credits.
• At least one year of student-related experience.
• Detail-oriented and highly dependable.
• Effective communicator.
• Reliable transportation.
• Provide a negative tuberculosis test within 2 weeks of being hired.
• Love learning, teaching, and empowering others to soar.
