Nativity Catholic School in Torrance is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and faith-filled Transitional Kindergarten Teacher to join our dedicated school community for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of young learners.

We are seeking an educator who values collaboration, strong communication with families, and a love for early childhood education within a Catholic school setting.

• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate TK classroom environment.
• Plan and implement engaging lessons aligned with California standards and early childhood best practices.
• Foster social-emotional development, independence, and positive classroom behavior.
• Integrate Catholic values and faith formation into daily classroom experiences.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration.
• Assess student growth and maintain accurate student records.
• Support the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.

• Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential preferred.
• Early Childhood Education units and/or experience teaching Transitional Kindergarten, Preschool, or Kindergarten preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate instructional practices.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, faculty, and administration.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education.
• Must successfully complete Archdiocese of Los Angeles fingerprinting and Safe Environment requirements.
• Practicing Catholic preferred but not required.

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
