You'll lead a team of dedicated youth development professionals, partner closely with school administrators and families, and oversee every aspect of program operations, from staff development and enrollment to program quality and community partnerships.

If you're passionate about developing people, building strong school communities, and creating exceptional experiences for children and families, this is an opportunity to lead with purpose while making a lasting impact every day.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead a high quality before and after school enrichment program where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn and grow.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and inspire a team of YMCA Team Members committed to delivering exceptional youth programs.
  • Build strong partnerships with school administrators, teachers, families, and community partners to strengthen the program and expand opportunities for youth.
  • Oversee daily program operations, enrollment, budgeting, compliance, and program quality while maintaining a culture of excellence.
  • Create meaningful experiences that help children develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while advancing the YMCA's mission of strengthening community.

Schedule

This is a full-time position based on a public school campus and follows the school calendar. Site Directors typically work three days each week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and two split shift days from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to support both before and after school programming. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for trainings, family events, and special events.

During school breaks, the program transitions to a full day camp schedule, with hours typically ranging from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Who We're Looking For

This role is a great fit for a collaborative leader who enjoys developing people, building authentic relationships, and creating environments where children, families, and Team Members thrive. The ideal candidate brings strong operational skills, a passion for youth development, and the ability to inspire others while balancing program quality, staff leadership, and community partnerships. If you're ready to lead a high performing team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families, we'd love to meet you.
