Mathematics Instructional Resource Specialist
The position serves as a resource to the implementation of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and the California Mathematics Framework in addition to related instructional improvement in the District's schools. This position is an instructional and technical resource to school sites and District level staff to support curriculum, instruction and assessment as a means to ensure the academic success of all students and subgroups.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Must have a clear California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Math teaching credential. In addition, must have CLAD/BCLAD.
2. Minimum three (3) years of successful teaching experience with positive evaluations.
3. Knowledge of and success in promoting instructional techniques and creative approaches that result in improved learning for all students.
4. Commitment to and support of the District's curricular, instructional, and assessment system.
5. Proven ability to effectively coach staff members in an embedded professional development setting.
6. Experience in the planning and delivery of professional development based on student achievement data and adult learning needs.
7. Broad knowledge of current educational practices.
8. Experience working with students with learning difficulties, high performing/GATE students, and English learners. Desirable
Qualifications:
1. Possession of a Master's Degree in Education.
2. Experience in general education in elementary as a mentor or master teacher.

Salary placement allows for up to fifteen (15) years of prior experience, provided the following conditions are met:
- The prior position was for at least 75% of the school year
- You were under contract during that time
- The school was WASC-accredited (or similarly accredited) - You held a valid credential while employed at that institution
