- Own projects end-to-end – from system architecture and hardware selection to full-boat integration.
- Collaborate closely across mechanical, firmware, and software teams in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
- Work in Torrance, CA, on-site, with direct access to prototypes, testing, and hands-on builds.
- Define electrical system requirements, interfaces, and architecture for high- and low-voltage systems.
- Develop and maintain system diagrams, I/O maps, and communication topologies.
- Lead hardware trade studies, component evaluations, and supplier selections.
- Troubleshoot HV/LV systems, cooling loops, sensors, and communication networks.
- Participate in full-boat integration, validation, and DFMEA/design reviews.
- Contribute to next-generation electrical architectures for scalable platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical systems integration, hardware development, or system-level engineering.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, sensors, cooling, harnesses, and CAN or similar networks.
- Hands-on debugging of electrical systems and embedded hardware interactions.
- Proven ability to define system requirements, interfaces, and architectural documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and a self-starter mindset, thriving in dynamic environments.
Preferred Experience
- MCU, ECU, VCU, or powertrain experience.
- Exposure to AC/DC or DC/DC power conversion, inverters, chargers, or OBCs.
- Familiarity with marine, EV, robotics, or aerospace electrical architectures.
