This is a full-time, on-site role for a Thin Film Process Engineer based in Torrance, CA. The Thin Film Process Engineer will develop and optimize thin-film coating processes and solutions tailored to meet performance requirements. Responsibilities include designing and monitoring processes for optical coatings, troubleshooting and implementing process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.
The role requires overseeing the successful production of high-performance surface treatments to ensure customer satisfaction and quality assurance.
- Strong skills in Process Design and Process Control, ensuring efficient and consistent production outcomes.
- Expertise in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering to analyze and implement advanced thin-film coating technologies.
- Proficiency in Analytical Skills to evaluate process performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process challenges while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is highly desired.
- Experience with optical coatings, thin-film technologies, and engineering in manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO-9001 or ITAR standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, collaboration skills, and attention to detail.
