Magnetic Component Engineering ("MCE"), a subsidiary of Dexter Magnetic Technologies ("Dexter"), manufactures permanent magnets and magnetic assemblies made to demanding customer specification in the aerospace / defense, semiconductor equipment, medical, and industrial end markets. MCE is based in Torrance, CA and operates one 48,000 square foot facility with 85 employees.

- Be a safety role model. Engage with employees, supervisors, and management to create and promote a safe work environment. Always work first to engineer safety into our work processes.
- Work to meet your personal and department quality KPIs. Monthly, investigate and provide root cause analysis to the Quality Manager when KPIs are not met. Implement approved countermeasure corrective actions.
- Actively engage with all of MCE to support our Lean Transformation, deploying Lean Tools to improve employee safety, processes and decrease cost.
- Ensure customer quality requirements are communicated internally and through the supply chain.
- Support customer requests for information, to include regulatory (REACH, RoHS, similar) information, coordinate with Sourcing as necessary.
- Lead quality system processes, including MRB/DMR, RMA, CAPA, internal audit, customer audits, third party certification audits, and other as assigned.
- Support process qualification activities as assigned.
- Support the NPI Stage Gate process and other design qualification activities as assigned by:
- Develop control plans and inspection methods.
- Participate in design reviews as the quality representative.
- Participate in FMEA activities as the quality representative.
- Review and approve design documentation to ensure compliance with the quality system and regulatory requirements.
- Complete other tasks as assigned or required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in STEM field.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor preferred.
- 7+ years of experience working in a regulated industry preferably with Aerospace and/or Medical Device Quality Management Systems and successfully supporting a Quality function.
- Knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, or ISO 13485 strongly preferred.
- AS9100D, ISO
9001, and/or ISO 13485 Lead Auditor experience preferred.
Salary Range: $125,000-$130,000 plus bonus
