About The Opportunity
In this role, you will take ownership of the electrical design for cutting-edge space communications technology, leading projects from initial concept through to production. You will drive the architecture and development of digital compute systems and power electronics, ensuring products are known for their reliability, scalability, and cost effectiveness.
What You’ll Be Doing- Leading electrical system architecture, covering compute, networking, and power
- Designing mixed-signal boards for modems, beamformers, and control circuits
- Managing prototype board bring-up and design verification for high-speed digital and power systems
- Troubleshooting at both system and production levels
- Collaborating with RF, antenna, and FPGA engineers to optimise performance across the entire product suite
- 10+ years of professional experience in electrical design
- Expertise in high-density and high-speed design (including FPGAs, Ser Des, 10/100 GigE, and JESD
204C) - Strong skills in schematic capture and PCB layout
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting EMI/EMC challenges
- Familiarity with PCB materials and stack-up development
- Comfort with soldering and rework techniques
- Full product lifecycle experience from concept through to production
