Responsibilities- Program quality support and customer interface
- Review customer quality requirements and ensure products and processes meet requirements
- Review customer returns
- Product failure investigation
- Material review management (waivers, deviations, discrepancy reporting)
- Conduct and support internal audits
- Quality documentation development
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other STEM related discipline
- Understanding of customer contract review, quality requirement flow downs
- 3 years quality assurance or related engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred)
- Must be able to read and interpret Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures
- Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system environment
- Must be familiar with the application and use of mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools
- Experience in managing calibration preferred.
- Experience in RCCA/PA, continuous improvement, fishbone analysis, and 5 Why methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (i.e. customer and supplier interface)
- Extensive familiarity and practical use of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to set and achieve goals
- Understanding of quality processes
- Familiarity with DCMA/Gov’t Source Inspection
- Knowledge of six sigma tools
- Statistical software, (i.e. Minitab, JMP, R)
- Green Belt certified
- CMM Programming
- Ability to work independent
