Job Overview
As a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Welding at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. This position reports directly to the Engineering Director and is based onsite in Torrance, CA.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as machining, welding, brazing, and assembly of complex aerospace components.
- Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS
2750. - Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
- Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.
Valued Qualifications
- Advanced Engineering degrees such as Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electrical Engineering (EE), Industrial Engineering (IE), or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results.
- Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $126,000. This figure is a general guideline and may be adjusted based on experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
