As part of the Engineering organization, Power Con v ers ion develops the technologies that efficiently transform reactor-generated heat into usable electrical power . The team focuses on maximizing system performance, reliability, and commercial viability.

Valar Atomics is seeking arotordynamicsengineer to join the turbo machinery team and advance power generation capability. In this role,you’llbe responsible for analyzing therotating groupfor Valar’s power generation turbo machinery.

You’llbe working withcross-functional team members to define a manufacturable,high efficiency, robust design.

As an early hire in turbo machinery, you will be able to directly influence design decisions on the system architecture.

• Analyze rotating groups for acceptablerotordynamicmargin
• Work closely with secondary flow and seal engineers to define acceptablesealclearances
• Define balance requirements and procedures for rotating group

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanicalor Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience conductingrotordynamicanalyses
• Experience analyzingrotating systems forlateral and torsionalrotordynamicresponse
• Experience defining balancing requirements for turbo machinery
• Experience with high speedrotating equipment in gas turbines, steam turbines, blowers, turboexpanders, turbopumps, etc.

• Master's degree in Mechanicalor Aerospace Engineering
• Experience diagnosing or root causing vibration/rotordynamicfailures of equipment
• Experience with industryrotordynamicstandardsAPI 617, API 684, etc.
• Experience with vibration signal processing
• Experience with commercially availablerotordynamicanalysis packages (AxStream, Concepts NREC,Dyrobes)
• Experience with supercritical C02
