Job Overview

We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer with strong experience in ISO 26262 and ePowertrain systems to support the development of safety-critical inverter platforms for EV applications. In this role, you will ensure functional safety compliance across the full lifecycle—from concept and design to testing and validation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to next-generation EV inverter technology and work closely with cross-functional hardware, software, and systems teams.

What

You'll Do
  • Lead functional safety activities aligned with ISO 26262 Part 4 and Part 6.
  • Perform gap analysis for Technical Safety Concepts (TSC) and Software Safety Requirements (SSRs).
  • Conduct safety analysis at both system and software levels.
  • Update and refine software architectures, SSRs, and safety mechanisms.
  • Work with microcontroller safety manuals to ensure proper configurations.
  • Support hardware teams with FMEDA reviews and hardware–software interface updates.
  • Write and support safety verification and validation test cases, including fault injection tests.
  • Contribute to safety case documentation and review requirement-related documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, systems).
What We're Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of functional safety for inverters and ePowertrain systems.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 26262 methodologies.
  • Experience working through the full safety lifecycle (concept → validation).
  • Familiarity with TSC, SSRs, FMEDA, safety mechanisms, and microcontroller safety manuals.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience writing test cases and performing fault injection testing.
