Electrical Engineer – Staff Aerospace
Adaptive Launch Solutions (ALS) is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), offering full comprehensive benefits. ALS provides pico, nano, micro, mini, and small satellites full launch integration services on Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV), Medium Launch Vehicles (MLVs) and Small Launch Vehicles (SLVs). On February 8, 2019 the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Space and Missile Systems Centers (SMC) Launch Enterprise Directorate awarded the multi-year Launch Manifest Systems Integrator (LMSI) Contract.
As part of the LMSI team, ALS will deliver capabilities and integration approaches that establish U.S. government enterprise-wide capability for small satellite delivery to space.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Staff Electrical Engineer will initially support a USG Government small satellite launch integration program providing electrical design and analysis flight systems and electrical ground support equipment. Specifically, the Staff Electrical Engineer will:
- Work with customers and component vendors to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements
- Analyze and translate requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
- Support tests ensuring system designs meet operational and functional requirements
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements and support fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher Electrical Engineering or Physics Degree
- Three (3) or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Familiar with analysis tools such as Matlab, SPICE
• Software experience and FPGA HDML programming language. Experience in product development desired. Must be able to obtain TS/SCI Clearance - Salary Range:
Commensurate with Experience - Relocation
- This position is offered ALS basic relocation package from within continental United States to the Torrance, California area
