Job Description
As a Senior Manufacturing Welding Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. You will report directly to our Engineering Director, and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on an Onsite basis.

You’ll report directly to our Engineering Director, and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA location on an Onsite basis.
In this role, you will impact our manufacturing processes by optimizing production workflows and driving continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to increased efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality in our operations. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure that we deliver innovative and high‑quality products to our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, welding process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong knowledge of welding technologies such as TIG Welding, Electron beam welding, welding automation, etc.
- Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS
2750. - Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
- Familiar with NX or similar CAD software.
- Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), IE (Industrial Engineer) or Manufacturing Engineer.
- Experience in driving process improvements and achieving results.
- Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
The annual base salary range for this position is $118,450 - $175,950. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
