Systems Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists, Quality Engineering
Serve as Class II Delegated Design Authority for Phase 6 ECNs in a production support environment
Perform engineering assessments, generate ECNs, and coordinate with Engineering teams to resolve Factory Support and supplier-driven actions
Coordinate substantiation analyses including stress, alternate materials, dimensional variation, qualification and testing, and engineering approval requirements
Act as technical customer interface for submitting drawing-change approval packages
Prepare documentation and coordinate meetings with Customer Support teams
Collaborate with ISC Engineering/Manufacturing, Operations and Quality to assess impacts and prioritize engineering actions
Support process and yield improvements, drawing updates, and root-cause-analysis implementation
Integrate with ISC events and agile projects to review processing changes and ensure product integrity
Support program cost, schedule, performance and risk mitigation
Perform budget analysis
Develop and manage schedules and milestones
Track project performance metrics
Work independently and effectively in cross-functional teams
Report to the Senior Engineering Manager
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering
- Experience in Design and Manufacturing
- Understanding of Heat Exchangers, Actuators, APUs and other product lines in the Aerospace industry
- Knowledge of design practices and qualification requirements
- Experience creating, supporting and enhancing specific action plans
- Experience working with Cross Functional Teams
- Program management skills
- Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
- Ability to promote customer relationships
- Demonstrated Earned Value Management skills
- Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
