Position
Field Service Engineer
SummaryThe Field Service Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated test equipment (ATE) at customer sites. This role works closely with sales and engineering teams to support customers, ensure equipment performance, and contribute to business growth through high-quality technical service and support.
Essential Duties- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated testing equipment (ATE) at customer sites
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by customers in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate technical specifications and requirements with customers and equipment manufacturers
- Develop, analyze, and modify test programs using dedicated software
- Prepare technical documentation, manuals, and service reports
- Provide training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and software usage
- Support sales activities including demos, trade shows, and technical presentations
- Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT) and evaluation of new equipment
- Provide internal technical training to sales and staff
- Travel domestically and internationally as required
8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Standard business hours, with flexibility required depending on customer needs
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on service schedules and emergency support
- Frequent domestic and international travel (Tennessee, Michigan, Monterrey and Tijuana in Mexico, etc.)

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in automated test equipment (ATE), testing systems, or related engineering fields
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); CAD experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills in English (Japanese and/or Spanish is a plus)
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to lift equipment (up to approx. 30 lbs / 13.6 kg)
