Own major boat systems from specification and design through prototyping, validation, and high-volume manufacturing, including composite structures, interiors, mechanisms, and marine systems. Lead design decisions and reviews, on-water testing and failure resolution, cross-functional integration, supplier and manufacturing collaboration, and engineer mentorship.
Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field, at least five years of industry experience taking hardware from concept through production, and expertise in CAD and PLM systems. Candidates should have composite-structure experience, strong engineering fundamentals including hand calculations and FEA, design-for-manufacturing experience, hands-on fabrication and testing skills, and the ability to lead data-driven technical decisions.
