This position is responsible for planning, developing and operating My Bus tours.
Essential Job Functions- Plan new tour/capabilities and product line to meet the FIT demand.
- Arrange buses, guides, admissions, Amtrak tickets, air tickets, show tickets, restaurants, etc.
- Improve and maintain operational efficiency and profitability.
- Resolve daily occurrences such as weather delays, cancellations, traffic delays, etc.
- Answer questions from Sales team and travel agencies.
- Create estimates for special requests and arrangements.
- Handle complaints or suggestions from customers.
- Close tour transactions monthly; report costs and profits.
- Set up promotional campaigns for web customers and agencies.
- Fully understand and act on customer needs.
- Negotiate with operators for prices, itineraries, etc.
- Communicate well with operators, sales team, and travel agencies.
- Use judgment in regular interactions with operators and related parties.
- Consult with superiors or experienced colleagues when troubleshooting.
- Maintain and develop customer base through heartfelt assistance and quality services, and timely interaction with sales staff.
- Understand own function from a larger, organizational perspective, and its impact on daily activities.
- Seek constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.
- Perform special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by superiors.
- Maintain high ethical standards in the workplace.
- Report all irregular issues and problems to superiors for solutions.
- Maintain good communication with superiors, office staff members, and outside contacts.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
- Education and Experience:
0-1 year of experience in the travel industry or equivalent skills in the area of expertise. - Skills and Knowledge:
Adequate knowledge and skills to perform day‑to‑day responsibilities; requires minimum supervision. - Language:
Speaks, reads, and writes fluently in Japanese. - Certificates and Licenses:

- Normal business hours: 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; may be required to work after normal hours and weekends.
- Work performed in an air‑conditioned office environment.
- Work can be performed remotely but may require reporting to the Los Angeles office two times per week or as required.
- Infrequent domestic travel by air (twice per year) is required.
- Environmental conditions:
noise, pollution, dust, fumes, and vehicle exhaust may be present. - Equipment:
General office equipment including phones, fax, copier, personal computer, scanner, etc.; software includes Windows OS, MS Office, LARS.
- Frequent sitting; occasional standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, and reaching with hands and arms; occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Vision:
Read and analyze data in hard copy and on a computer screen; adjust vision focus as needed. - Mental:
Show stamina for problem solving, handle stressful situations, prioritize multiple tasks, recall detailed conversations or events, interpret and apply oral/written instructions, remain alert and coherent during stressful conditions.
