American Honda Finance is currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for our Accounting Operations division.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will perform end-to-end credit loss analytics, allowance estimation, and financial forecast model administration/development for both US and Canadian consumer finance portfolios, per USGAAP and IFRS accounting standards under internal SOX controls, while also developing automated workflow applications, supporting data & analytics project initiatives, providing audit-ready data packages, and communicating insights to committees, management, and cross-functional teams.

Process/validate credit loss forecast models under SOX controls and prepare subsequent monthly/quarterly credit loss reserve reporting, journal entries

Perform analytics on originations, delinquency, net charge-off, probability of default, loss Develop econometric credit loss forecast models and automated workflow applications

Prepare quarter-end footnotes and public debt disclosures related to credit loss and fair value of CFS portfolios for SEC / 10K reporting

Provide credit loss reserve forecasts to corporate planning department

Perform analytics on quarterly balance sheet and income statement financial statements

Provide data analytics and support explanations for internal SOX and external KPMG audits.

• Minimum Education
  
  Qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related business field required.
• Preferred certifications: CFA, CPA, CMA, MBA
• Minimum Experience:
  
  Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional experience in forecasting credit losses, preferably for consumer and dealer finance portfolios.
• Experience in data analytics, financial modeling, corporate finance, and financial planning preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Word, PowerPoint) ERP systems (SAP, Business Objects, Oracle).
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SAS) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Workstyle: 80/20 (4 days in office, 1 day remote) Torrance Location Travel: 5%
