The Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. This role emphasizes evidence-based therapy, patient education, and collaboration with caregivers and other healthcare professionals in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations using standardized and informal assessment tools.
  • Diagnose speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to pediatric and/or adult patients.
  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and clinic standards.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals, progress, and home strategies.
  • Collaborate with audiologists, physicians, educators, and other allied health professionals.
  • Additional Clinical Services
    • Aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
    • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive or receptive language disorders
    • Communication enhancement services, including accent modification or professional communication skills
    Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
