Position Details

In this role, you will provide specialized nutrition care within the NICU and pediatric units at a large teaching hospital. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct detailed nutrition assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition support plans
  • Monitor growth and development
  • Manage specialized feeding regimens such as parenteral and enteral nutrition
  • Collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and pharmacists to optimize patient outcomes
  • Lead the milk room team responsible for preparing individualized breast milk and formula feedings for NICU patients, ensuring safety, accuracy, and adherence to evidence‑based protocols
  • Provide parent and caregiver education
  • Participate in interdisciplinary medical rounds
  • Contribute to clinical teaching for students and interns
  • Support quality improvement initiatives related to neonatal and pediatric nutrition

$86,840–$105,857

Job Summary

We’re seeking an Advanced Practice Dietitian to provide evidence‑based nutrition care, serve as a clinical leader within the healthcare team, and promote positive patient outcomes through innovation and expertise.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long‑term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high‑quality, consistent care
  • Contribute to and lead QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
  • Support the growth of clinical and departmental staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
What We’re Looking For
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with five years of experience
  • Master’s degree in nutrition
  • Advanced Practice Certification through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Healthcare experience preferred
