SUMMARYThis role will handle the recruitment process for multiple Apex Logistics branches. Responsible for developing strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates, while sourcing and recruiting talent for various positions within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in warehouse / logistics recruitment, and strong organizational skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Recruitment process from requisition development to new hire onboarding.
- Source, engage and hire talent for internships, entry-level, intermediate, and management level positions while building a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
- Build and execute strategic and creative sourcing plans for active and passive candidates, leveraging various methods such as cold calling, direct sourcing, resume databases, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, hiring manager’s interactions, and other recruiting activities.
- Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand the unique needs of the position; conduct intake meetings and regular check-ins with hiring managers.
- Ensures all job requisitions are well-written and consistent with company practice and standards; manages postings and advertisements for open positions.
- Conduct screening/initial interviewing of applicants.
- Participate in a variety of recruiting and employer branding events and strategies.
- Partner effectively with recruiting team peers and cross-functional partners (payroll, HR, operations teams, etc.)
- Liaison with the HR Operations department for new hire onboarding support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of hand-on recruitment experience, preferably from a staffing firm or corporate environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience working with multiple hiring managers in a fast pace environment.
- Proven ability to recruit for multiple job openings simultaneously.
- Must have good computer data entry skills, word, excel, and Microsoft office.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures, including an understanding of legal recruiting requirements.
- Ability to deliver a positive and engaging candidate experience for internal and external candidates throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
- Experience staying current with recruiting industry trends and developments.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
