Business Analyst

Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Southern California for a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will excel at translating business requirements into actionable technical specifications, focusing on digital analytics, user behavior tracking, and marketing technology strategies.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with business teams to analyze and document requirements, ensuring clear communication with technical stakeholders.

- Develop detailed analytics specifications for web and mobile platforms to track user actions and marketing performance.

- Identify essential data points and events for effective user behavior tracking.

- Create comprehensive documentation for analytics requirements, including event triggers and parameters, to guide development teams.

- Partner with developers to ensure accurate implementation of analytics tags across various systems.

- Conduct quality assurance checks to validate that analytics tracking aligns with defined requirements.

- Perform audits on existing analytics systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance with privacy standards.

- Recommend strategies for integrating marketing technology systems with customer data platforms, CRMs, and personalization tools.

- Support Agile workflows by managing project backlogs, facilitating sprint planning, and ensuring timely delivery.

- Maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and deployment plans.

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail.

- At least 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role within B2C applications and marketing technology systems.

- Proven expertise in designing analytics tagging specifications for developers.

- Hands-on experience with quality assurance and validation of analytics implementations for web and mobile applications.

- Familiarity with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager or Tealium.

- Strong understanding of tracking user behavior and event-based analytics.

- Knowledge of compliance standards and privacy regulations related to data management.

- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and managing requirements in iterative development cycles. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
