Position Summary
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for both job‑specific purchases and strategic inventory procurement. Whether it’s sourcing thousands of feet of VLON wrap, ordering custom materials for an upcoming build, or managing vendor relationships, this role is critical to ensuring we get the right materials at the right time, at the right cost. This person should be comfortable balancing urgency with strategic thinking, building rapport with vendors, and working closely with our warehouse and operations teams.
The role offers a hybrid schedule; ideal for someone who can be in Torrance a couple of days a week but works efficiently from home as well.
- Purchase job‑specific materials and supplies as requested by project managers and operations.
- Proactively manage procurement for general inventory needs (e.g., tape, tools, materials).
- Research, source, and negotiate pricing with vendors for both one‑off and recurring purchases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Track order status, delivery schedules, and troubleshoot any delays or issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse team to verify deliveries, match POs to invoices, and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor vendor performance and suggest alternative options if needed.
- Assist in creating and managing procurement budgets for large‑scale projects.
- Look for cost‑saving opportunities across materials and purchasing workflows.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain. Event, production, or construction industry a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable negotiating terms and pricing with vendors.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace; experience with Lightning or other project tools a plus.
- Able to be on‑site in the office 2–3 days per week as needed.
- Familiarity with event production, scenic builds, or warehouse logistics.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- A love for making things happen under pressure.
